Case Study

Similar to its sibling brands, New World do not sell online, but there was a need to provide consumers with access to spare parts and a revenue opportunity seen in the sale of surplus stock.

Owing to our experience with IBM i-based back-office systems, we at XMLi5 were selected to build and host the web application, which communicates with New World's GEAC System/21 back-office system and provides a web-based interface to them in the CMS, while transforming all orders to System/21 for invoicing.

Glen Dimplex Home Appliances also use this solution for their other brands: Stoves, Belling, and Lec, with Britannia and Lamona implementations to follow in the coming months (which will be using the mobile-friendly front-end in development for the existing stores now).
