The total flexibility of the XMLi5 product was demonstrated when we were asked by the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Club (BBMF — and yes, we are talking genuine Lancaster Bombers and Spitfires!) to produce a web-based membership system for them, which would allow members to sign-up and pay for their membership online.
Additional membership functionality was later required and we provided this by expanding the web application to include discussion forum for members and also a communal photo gallery where members can share their photographs of the BBMF event and make comments.
Since we helped BBMF get off the ground and onto the web, responsibility for its web presence has since been taken on by the RAF itself, and as a result the BBMF discontinued their use of the XMLi5 software. However, we are proud to support them and their new web presence.
